3. The Cutting Process
Laser Generation:

So when we talk about laser generation in fiber lasers, the process is pretty straightforward. Light is made in a part called an oscillator. Then this light is made stronger as it goes through fiber-optic cables. Finally, it gets to the cutting head, which is where the actual laser cutting happens with the fiber lasers.

Oxygen is really important. Oxygen triggers a reaction that gives off heat. This reaction is faster when the plates are thicker. There is a problem with using Oxygen. It leaves an edge on the plates because they get oxidized. This dark edge is not very nice. Oxygen does this to the plates.
